Job summary

Festo Pte Ltd in Singapore invites a skilled Technician (Mechanical) to join our Production team. You will perform mechanical and electronic assembly and testing of pneumatic and electronic products, read drawings and work instructions, and troubleshoot independently.

You will also repair servicing work, document activities, and support transfer of projects from headquarter to local production, coordinating resource and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of relevant experience in mechanical assembly and testing.
• Able to read drawings, work instructions, and test plans.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, 5S and lean management.
• Knowledge of compressed air preparation, pneumatic actuators, control valves, or process valves.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Teamwork and ability to lead towards common objective.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electronic assembly and testing of pneumatic and electronic products.
• Read drawings, work instructions and test plans; carry out assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
• Repair and servicing work based on service requirements.
• Document and report testing and service activities.
• Manage end-to-end transfer of projects from headquarter to local production including resource and capacity planning.
• Frequent communication with Team cluster and QCD support teams.
• Occasional communication with Engineering related to assembly and customer requirements.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Competent in carrying out mechanical and electronic assembly and testing of puenmatic and electronic products.
• Able to comprehend drawing, work instruction, test plan and work independently to carry out all assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
• Responsible to carry out repair and servicing work based on service requirement
• Documentation and reporting of testing/service activities
• Responsible to manage end to end transfer of project from headquarter to local production including acceptance of requirement resource and capacity planning.
• Frequent communication with Team cluter, QCD support team for day to day activities
• Occasional communication with Engineering related to assembly and customer requirement.
• To perform any ad hoc task been assigned from time to time
• Minimum of 3-4 year relevant experience
