Job summary

BIOTRONIK SE & Co.KG in Singapore is seeking a Technician II (Equipment Engineering) for night shift to support production operations. You will troubleshoot equipment issues, minimize downtime, document stoppages, and assist in calibration and maintenance alongside Engineers.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher NITEC in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic discipline.
• Fresh Graduate with relevant field acceptable.
• Higher NITEC or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Preferably experience in medical device industry.
• Prior technical experience in Electronics/Manufacturing is an advantage.
• Meticulous, responsible, flexible and customer oriented.
• Experience working in project environments with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first level troubleshooting and resolve production stoppages due to equipment issues.
• Minimise equipment downtime and ensure production meets target output and yield.
• Document and report all production line stoppages due to equipment or technical issues.
• Monitor machine output and ensure required standards are met.
• Replenish production materials and tools at workstations.
• Perform process control checks where necessary.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and calibration for production equipment.
• Train and educate operators; travel as needed and work night shifts.

The Technician II (Equipment Engineering) is responsible, as member of the Operations Engineering team, to provide technical support for production operations in meeting output and quality. This includes transfer, documentation and repair. Furthermore, the Technician II will support the Equipment Engineer in required installation and training activities to ensure the processes will be correctly operated. Also, his/her expertise will be required to optimize the infrastructure of the facility.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide first level troubleshooting and resolve production stoppages due to equipment issues.
• Minimise equipment downtime and ensure production meets target output and yield.
• Document and report all production line stoppages due to equipment or technical issues.
• Monitor machine output and ensure the required standards are met.
• Replenish production auxiliary materials and tools in the respective workstations.
• Perform process control check where necessary.
• Participate in and execute preventive maintenance and calibration activities for production and measuring equipment.
• Ensure workstations are in excellent housekeeping conditions.
• Train and educate operators.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Able to perform shift work as and when necessary.
• Able to travel as necessary.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCY

Lean Manufacturing:

• 5S, 7-Mudas and Kaizen methodologies.
• JDI (Just-Do-It) as project initiative to address equipment issue/improvement.

Equipment Skills:

• Basic understanding and interpretation of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings.
• Basic understanding of Sensors, Relay, Solenoids PLC, AC/DC power supply and concepts.

Your Profile

• Diploma/Higher NITEC in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic discipline.
• Diploma: Fresh Graduate.
• Higher NITEC or equivalent : At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Preferably in medical device industry.
• Prior technical experience in Electronics / Manufacturing environment will be added advantage.
• Meticulous, responsible, flexible, independent and customer oriented.
• Experience working in project environment with good problem-solving skills.
