Job description

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro‑mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
• Rebuilds engineering equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers
• Ensures record keeping and documentation in equipment tracking system
• Performs preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment
• Responds to customer requests and prioritizes them accordingly
• Follows safety procedures and area work rules, including proper PPE, lockout and chemical safety
• Operates and maintains equipment and tools within manufacturer and company safety guidelines
• Supports internal and external audits
• Maintains product tracking and inventory controls
• Works closely and liaises with machine vendors for equipment setup, modification/upgrade and repair
• Fosters closer collaboration among cross‑functional teams
• Focuses on customer needs and provides timely solutions

Requirements

• Must be able to work a 12‑hour shift, including night shift
• Minimum Polytechnic Engineering Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process and technologies is preferred
• High level of cooperation with good communication skills
• Highly driven individual, proactive and able to multi‑task
• Working experience in Semiconductor R&D equipment is preferred
