Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, Singapore, seeks a Technician to assemble and disassemble aircraft engines and modules on site. You will read SOPs, inspect components, and collaborate with the Operations Leader to hit production targets while maintaining EHS standards.

The role requires an NITEC or higher in mechanical engineering, 2 years of relevant engine/assembly experience, and willingness to work rotating day/night shifts and overtime as needed. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
• 2 years relevant experience in engine or module assembly/disassembly/inspection or testing.
• Ability to read technical drawings such as Engine Manuals.
• Curious mindset with willingness to learn – on-the-job training provided.
• Commit to rotating day/night shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize machines/equipment/tools to carry out assembly, disassembly and inspect functions of engines, modules, parts or accessories.
• Read and execute the SOP.
• Solve technical issues as they arise.
• Assist Operations Leader/Cell Leaders in daily operations to achieve production targets.
• Carry out SAP transactions and update works orders in SAP.

What You Will Do

• Utilize machines/ equipment/ tools to carry out assembly, disassembly and inspect functions of engines, its associated modules, parts, components or accessories.
• Read and execute the standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Solve technical issues and problems as appropriate when encounter in their daily work.
• Assist the Operations Leader/ Assistant Foremen/ Cell Leaders in their daily operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals and discipline.
• Carry out SAP transaction and make necessary changes to works order in SAP.
• Actively support and participate in EHS and Continuous Improvement and Ethics culture projects and any other corporate initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering disciplines.
• 2 years relevant experience in engine or module assembly/disassembly/inspection or testing.
• Good understanding of technical drawing such as Engine Manuals.
• A curious and learning mindset – we provide on-the-job trainings and certifications.
• Commit to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.
