Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform assembly, disassembly and inspection of engines and modules on site. You will read SOPs, troubleshoot issues and support production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This role requires a NITEC or higher in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years solid experience in engine assembly. You must be prepared for rotating day and night shifts and occasional overtime, with opportunities for training

Qualifications

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
• 2 years relevant experience in engine or module assembly/disassembly/inspection or testing.
• Good understanding of technical drawings such as Engine Manuals.
• Curious learner – on-the-job trainings and certifications provided.
• Ability to work rotating Day/Night shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and tools to assemble, disassemble and inspect engines, modules or components.
• Read and follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Identify and resolve technical issues encountered in daily work.
• Assist team leaders to achieve production targets and maintain discipline.
• Record SAP transactions and update work orders in SAP.
• Support EHS, Continuous Improvement and ethics initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Utilize machines/ equipment/ tools to carry out assembly, disassembly and inspect functions of engines, its associated modules, parts, components or accessories.
• Read and execute the standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Solve technical issues and problems as appropriate when encounter in their daily work.
• Assist the Operations Leader/ Assistant Foremen/ Cell Leaders in their daily operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals and discipline.
• Carry out SAP transaction and make necessary changes to works order in SAP.
• Actively support and participate in EHS and Continuous Improvement and Ethics culture projects and any other corporate initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering disciplines.
• 2 years relevant experience in engine or module assembly/disassembly/inspection or testing.
• Good understanding of technical drawing such as Engine Manuals.
• A curious and learning mindset – we provide on-the-job trainings and certifications.
• Commit to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.
