Job summary

SOON XING ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced automotive technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs on heavy vehicles. You will manage work orders, adhere to safety standards, and help ensure quick turnaround to meet service levels.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive repair, Higher Nitec in Automotive Technology, and basic English proficiency. Working six days a week from 7:30am to 5:15pm with on-site duties in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Academic qualification: At least Higher Nitec in Automotive Technology or equivalent.
• Competent in basic English (verbal & written).
• At least 3 years of experience in automotive service repair.
• Possession of Class 3 driving licence will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repair and overhaul work on heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose capability and perform major repair on engine and transmission.
• Notify Team Leader of unusual repair problems requiring major repairs or parts.
• Complete work order for each vehicle and unit serviced.
• Adhere to safety, orderliness and workshop guidelines.
• Ensure overall customer satisfaction with Aftersales service.
• Diligent recording of all info in service report (mileage, parts list, fault codes).
• Carry out recall/warranty job as documented by MAN.
• Ensure 5S compliance.
• Other functions as required by superior.

Job description

Carry out maintenance, repair and overhaul work on heavy vehicles, has diagnostic capability and able to perform major repair on engine and transmission

Ensure high standard of workmanship and minimize turnaround time for scheduled repairs and inspections to meet workshop's service standards and according to job order.

Notify Team Leader of unusual repair problems which will require major repair and replacement parts recommendation.

Complete work order for each vehicle and unit serviced.

Adhere to defined guidelines in regards to safety, orderliness and etc.

To ensure overall customer satisfaction with Company's Aftersales service

Diligent recording of all info in service report (mileage, parts list, fault codes,etc)

Carry out recall /warranty job as documented by MAN

Ensure 5S compliance

Other functions as required by superior

Requirements
