Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a manufacturing/engineering professional to provide hands-on technical support to production, ensuring adherence to cGMP and company policies. The role involves maintaining equipment, troubleshooting problems, and driving Lean/continuous improvement across assembly processes.

You will participate in machine improvements, collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, and help optimize capacity, yield and safety on the production floor.

Qualifications

• NTC/ITC/ Diploma in Engineering / Manufacturing required.
• 3+ years in manufacturing/engineering, with at least 1 year in a cGMP environment.
• Process knowledge in manufacturing assembly and equipment maintenance.
• Strong teamwork and troubleshooting skills for equipment failures.
• Automation background with programming knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to production to meet plant objectives and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Support engineering issues for processes; perform maintenance and troubleshooting on the production floor.
• Assist in machine and equipment improvements and upgrades.
• Support continuous improvement in assembly processes, equipment efficiency, capacity, yield, and process quality control; ensure safety.
• Participate in Lean initiatives and relevant meetings as part of continuous improvement.
• Communicate with affiliated plants, suppliers, subcontractors and government agencies as needed.

Job Description

• Responsible for providing technical support to production in carrying out manufacturing plan to meet Plant’s set objectives and ensure that all technical activities is in compliance with all local laws and practices, and in conformance with all relevant company’s policies and procedures.
• Supports in all engineering issues related to respective processes. Is responsible for all maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations on the production floor.
• Assists in machine and equipment improvements and upgrading programs.
• Support production team in identifying and carrying out continuous improvement to assembly processes, equipment/machines efficiencies, production capacity and utilization, production yield, process quality control, workplace safety and health,5S and other production related activities.
• Participate in the Lean initiatives and attend relevant meetings as part of continuous improvement activities.
• Communicate with affiliated plants, suppliers subcontractors and government agencies as and when required.

Job Requirements

• NTC / ITC / Diploma in Engineering / Manufacturing.
• Minimum of 3 years similar manufacturing / engineering work experiences of which minimum of 1 years is in cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Process knowledge in manufacturing assembly and equipment maintenance
• Good teams player and strong skill in trouble shooting equipment failure and technical issues.
• Experience in Automation background with programing knowledge will be advantage.
