Wise is seeking a Technical Team Lead to own Cards Billing Operations and Cards Settlement Operations, guiding cost-optimized, on-time payouts and strong controls. The role sits at the intersection of operations, product, and engineering, driving technical initiatives to reduce junk fees and improve efficiency.

• Strong Visa/Mastercard billing and settlement domain expertise.
• Strong understanding of payment methods and banking integrations.
• People management skills to coach and upskill the team.
• Strategic planning to own yearly roadmaps and priorities.
• Stakeholder management across multiple functions.
• Clear decision-making and communication with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise trade-offs across SLA, cost, audit readiness, and launches.

Responsabilités

• Drive domain strategy and cost ownership for Billing and Settlements.
• Own the yearly roadmap and team OKRs aligned to product initiatives.
• Own Billing and Settlement performance KPIs and cost measures.
• Lead root-cause analysis for settlement delays and billing issues; implement scalable fixes.
• Own audit, compliance, and control readiness with external auditors.
• Serve as cross-functional lead with Finance, Treasury, and Payments teams.
• Manage, coach, and upskill the team in project management, SQL, dashboards, and automation thinking.
