Job summary

Recruit Expert Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Chief Engineer with LNG carrier experience to lead the technical operations of LNG bunkering vessels.

You will oversee machinery, dual-fuel engines and LNG cargo systems to ensure reliability and safe operations. Responsibilities include performing PMS, repairs, dry-docking, class/statutory surveys, managing technical budgets and troubleshooting to maintain vessel readiness.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture or equivalent.
• CoC is preferred.
• 5+ years seagoing LNG carrier experience as Chief Engineer or LNG Technical Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of technical operations, maintenance and reliability of LNG bunkering vessels / LNG carriers.
• Oversee PMS, repairs, dry-docking, class/statutory surveys and technical budgets.
• Troubleshoot to maintain vessel reliability and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with crews, Class, Flag, shipyards, equipment makers and stakeholders on technical and regulatory issues.

Job description

• Be responsible for PMS, repairs, dry-docking, class/statutory surveys, technical budgets and troubleshooting to maintain vessel reliability and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with vessel crews, Class, Flag, shipyards, equipment makers and other stakeholders on technical issues, repairs and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture or equivalent
• Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC) is preferred.
• At least 5 years of seagoing experience on LNG carriers, with experience as a Chief Engineer and/or LNG Technical Superintendent.
