Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer for LNG vessels to lead the technical management of ships, oversee daily operations, and ensure the safety and reliability of hull, propulsion, cargo handling, and auxiliary systems.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years sailing LNG carrier experience and preferably hold a Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency, providing guidance to vessel masters and crews while maintaining KPIs and initiating corrective actions when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years sailing experience on LNG carriers.
• Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Technical Management of LNG Vessels
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day technical operations of assigned LNG vessels
• Monitor vessel machinery performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Ensure safe operation of the vessels' hull and machinery including (but not limited to): Main propulsion systems, Dual-fuel engines, LNG cargo handling systems, Reliquefaction plants / sub-coolers, Boil-off gas (BOG) systems, Cargo containment systems, Electrical and automation systems
• Provide technical guidance and support to vessel masters and chief engineers
• Monitor vessel technical KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary

Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture
