Job summary

ASA PROFESSIONALS OUTSOURCING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical management of assigned vessels.

The role requires hands-on leadership to ensure propulsion, power, and auxiliary systems operate safely and efficiently. You will coordinate maintenance, dry-docking, and repairs, review specifications and invoices, and provide technical support to the Master and Chief Engineer while ensuring compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM and Class

Qualifications

• Onboard engineer with 5+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience as Technical Superintendent.
• Strong knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL and Class/Flag State rules.
• Excellent technical, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Overall technical management of assigned vessels.
• Monitor main engines, generators, boilers, oil purifiers and other machinery.
• Plan and manage vessel maintenance and repairs.
• Supervise onboard repair and maintenance work.
• Plan dry-docking and repair projects.
• Review repair specifications, quotations and invoices.
• Provide technical support to the Master and Chief Engineer.
• Investigate and troubleshoot machinery breakdowns and technical problems.
• Arrange and manage spare parts and technical supplies.
• Coordinate with Class, Flag State and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO rules and company procedures.
• Conduct regular vessel visits and technical inspections.
• Prepare technical and maintenance reports.

• Monitoring the condition and performance of main engines, generators, boilers, oil purifiers, and other machinery
• Planning and management of vessel maintenance and repairs
• Management and supervision of onboard repair and maintenance work
• Planning and supervision of dry-docking and repair projects
• Review of repair specifications, quotations, and invoices
• Technical support to the Master and Chief Engineer
• Investigation and troubleshooting of machinery breakdowns and technical problems
• Arrangement and management of spare parts and technical supplies
• Management and review of PMS (Planned Maintenance System)
• Coordination with Class, Flag State, and other relevant authorities
• Ensuring compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO requirements, Class rules, and company procedures
• Regular vessel visits and technical inspections
• Review and preparation of technical reports, repair reports, and maintenance records
• Providing emergency technical support when required

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years of onboard engineer experience
• At least 5 years of work experience as Technical Superintendent
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and compliance requirements, including ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class and Flag State requirements
