Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking a Technical Superintendent in Singapore to manage gas carriers, including Ethane and LPG vessels, from a technical operations perspective.

You will oversee dry docking, newbuilding delivery, and performance monitoring, coordinating with shipowners and stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience LPG vessel management or sailing on LPG vessels.
• 2–3 years as Technical Superintendent preferred.
• Chief Engineer experience is highly preferred.
• Business-level English for internal and client comms.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Technical Superintendent role offers the opportunity to manage gas carriers, including Ethane and LPG vessels, from a technical operations perspective. This role is ideal for a maritime professional with experience in vessel management, dry docking, and newbuilding delivery, with the opportunity to build a career in the advanced gas shipping sector.

• Handle newbuilding vessel delivery and acceptance
• Provide technical support and monitor vessel performance
• Coordinate with shipowners and relevant stakeholders

Requirements

• Experience in LPG vessel management or sailing experience on LPG vessels
• Experience as a Technical Superintendent, with approximately 2 to 3 years preferred
• Chief Engineer experience is highly preferred
• Business-level English for communication with internal teams and clients
• Experience with DF, Dual Fuel, LGIP, VLAC, or VLEC vessels is advantageous
