TRUST SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to lead technical operations for our oil tankers. You will supervise repairs, maintenance, and dockings, ensuring compliance with class and statutory surveys while managing budgets and vessel documentation.
The role requires tanker seagoing experience at Chief Engineer or Second Engineer level (COC 1 or 2) and 3–5 years in technical superintendent positions, with strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsible for technical operations of the assigned oil tankers.
Ensure that the vessels achieve the required technical standards and performance by carrying out repair maintenance and servicing of vessels to the instructions of the Technical Manager.
Proceeding to ports as may be necessary, on the instruction of the Technical Manager, for the purpose of supervising repairs and restoration of the vessels and equipment.
Prepare, manage, and monitor dry-dockings and other required repairs and maintenance jobs. Responsible for a complete general inspection of the vessel.
Ensure that the vessels’ certificates and documents are systematically updated and stored.
Effective implementation and advise of the Company’s planned maintenance system to the relevant ship personnel.
Prepare, arrange, and manage class, statutory and other vessel surveys.
Review and promote vessels’ crew performance and report relevant information to the Technical Manager regarding sea-going personnel.
Prepare and manage vessels’ technical budget.
Any other tasks as assigned
Job Requirement
Tanker seagoing experience as a Chief Engineer or Second Engineer (at least COC Class 1 or 2)
At least 3-5 years of experience as technical superintendent for oil tankers.
Strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
Excellent leadership, teamwork, management, and communication skills.
The salary will commensurate with relevant experience.
