Job summary

Executive Ship Management Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Technical Superintendent to manage a fleet of vessels and ensure safe, compliant operations in line with HSEQA policies. You will coordinate with owners, charterers and stakeholders, oversee maintenance, budgeting, surveys and docking, and provide expert technical guidance on ships worldwide.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 120 days+) to vessels in various ports, strong PMS/ISM/PSC knowledge, and prior Chief Engineer experience on

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer with COC Class 1 (Unlimited FG).
• Experience as Chief Engineer on Oil/Chemical/Product Tanker foreign going vessels.
• Minimum 3 years in Senior Officer rank on Foreign Going Vessels.
• Proficient in PMS, ISM, PSC, Flag & Class requirements.
• Preferably 5 years handling Foreign Going Vessels as Technical Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Achieve high standards of safe and pollution-free operations by implementing HSEQA policies.
• Oversee management of assigned vessels including stakeholder communications, compliance, operations, maintenance, budgeting, surveys, certifications and docking.
• Keep abreast of international regulations and ensure vessel compliance.
• Provide technical assistance and advice to ships.
• Carry out periodic technical and operational compliance audits to ensure readiness.
• Liaise with Procurement for sourcing supplies at economical rates.
• Propose annual operating budgets for vessels considering repairs, statutory, flag and port requirements.
• Monitor vessel conditions to meet PSC and Oil Majors regulations; ensure certifications are valid.
• Plan and implement corrective actions and maintenance schedules; oversee inspections, dry-docking and major repairs.
• Ensure timely surveys/renewals and align with charter party requirements.
• Ensure fleet performance aligns with company goals.
• Undertake technical assignments/projects as required.
• Role requires frequent travel overseas up to 120 days or more annually to attend vessels in various ports.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Achieve high standards of safe and pollution-free operations of vessels by ensuring that company policies related to Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality Assurance (HSEQA) are effectively implemented
2. You will be responsible for overall Management of assigned vessels. This will include close communication with all stakeholders, compliance to owners and charterers requirements, close monitoring of Marine and Technical Operations, Daily maintenance and repairs, Budgeting and control, Surveys, certification, Inspections and Docking.
3. Keep abreast of international regulations / legal requirements and ensure assigned vessels comply to these.
4. Provide Technical assistance and advice to ships.
5. Carry out periodical technical and operational compliance audit and ensure vessel is always operational ready.
6. Assist in investigations of all insurance related matter.
7. Liaise closely with Procurement team for sourcing technical and operational supplies required at most economical and competitive rates.

10. Closely monitor and review vessel's conditions to ensure that she complies with Port State Control and Oil Majors regulations at all times

12. Plan and implement corrective actions for defects that may exist in the vessels and ensure compliance with planned maintenance schedule for assigned vessel
13. Monitor and ensure that all applicable vessel certifications are valid, and surveys / renewals are planned well in time
14. Ensure fleet vessels performance is within charter party requirements and Company goals.
15. Undertake technical related assignments and projects as and when required
16. This position required frequent travel overseas and estimated up to 120 days or more travel to attend vessels in various ports worldwide.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Educational Qualification should be at least Graduate Engineer and holder of COC Class 1 (Unlimited FG).
2. Must have sailed as Chief Engineer on Oil/Chemical/Product Tanker vessels (Foreign Going Vessels).
3. Minimum 3 Year Experience in Senior Officer Rank on Foreign Going Vessels.
4. Proficient in PMS, ISM, PSC, Flag & Class requirements.
5. Preferably having previous working experience of at least 5 years handling Foreign Going Vessels as Technical Superintendent.
