Job summary

SIA Engineering is seeking an engineer to monitor Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) systems, coordinate with MROs for timely maintenance, and provide frontline technical support. You will meet inbound aircraft with IFEC issues, summarize incidents for follow-up, and keep management updated with reports.

You will also oversee daily IFEC health, audit maintenance effectiveness, analyze defects for trends, and coordinate ground time for connectivity work.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of airline operations and/or aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
• Willingness to perform shift work to support aircraft operational schedules.
• Ability to work independently with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring of IFEC systems availability status.
• Meet & Greet inbound aircraft with significant IFEC issues to investigate failure cause.
• Provide summary of IFEC issues for follow-up.
• Provide timely updates/reports to management.
• Manage and assign tasks to the IFEC Rangers.
• Provide front line support to operations and assist in prioritizing defects and planned works.
• Review IFEC defects and work with vendors for troubleshooting steps.
• Coordinate aircraft ground time and resources for connectivity antenna replacements.
• Interface between IFEC vendors, MROs and aircraft OEMs.
• Audit effectiveness of IFEC maintenance execution and preventive checks.
• Analyze IFEC defects for trending and emerging in-service issues.
• Provide inflight/line station reset recommendations for IFEC outage recovery.
• Drive down IFEC deferred/recurring defects to ensure high IFEC availability.
• Provide daily oversight of IFEC health status.

• To drive down IFEC deferred/recurring defects to ensure high IFEC availability.
• Provide front line support to operations & assist in prioritizing defects and planned works.
• Review IFEC defects and work with vendors to provide recommended troubleshooting steps.

Requirements

• Honours Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in airline operations and/or aircraft maintenance is preferred.
• Perform shift work to support aircraft operational schedule.
• Excellent team player with analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Possess Class 3 Driving Licence.
