Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience managing technology projects.

• Experience with application development, infrastructure, cloud, data or integration.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
• PMP/PRINCE2/Agile certifications are advantageous.
• Banking or financial services experience preferred.

Technical Project Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate technology projects from initiation through implementation. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and other project partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and according to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, including planning, execution, implementation and closure.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables and resource requirements.
• Coordinate closely with application, infrastructure, security, architecture, testing and business teams.
• Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and budgets.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide clear updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into actionable deliverables for technical teams.
• Manage project changes and ensure proper governance, documentation and approvals are maintained.
• Work with internal teams and external vendors to resolve delivery issues and remove project blockers.
• Ensure projects comply with the organisation’s technology, security, risk and regulatory requirements.
• Support testing, implementation, production deployment and post-implementation activities.
• Prepare project status reports, dashboards, meeting materials and management presentations.
• Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes and ways of working.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience managing technology projects.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and technology delivery processes.
• Experience working with application development, infrastructure, cloud, data or system integration projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Strong project planning, risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and complex environment.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project or similar platforms.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master or Agile certification would be advantageous.
• Prior experience within banking or financial services would be preferred.
