Job description

Technical Project Manager – AI Infrastructure & Data Center Deployment (North America)

Location: Singapore

Travel Requirement: Approximately 50% travel to North America, including extended onsite assignments

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a technically strong and delivery-oriented Technical Project Manager to lead AI infrastructure and data center deployment projects for major customers across North America.

This role combines technical project management, infrastructure deployment planning, customer engagement, and end-to-end delivery execution. You will coordinate cross-functional engineering teams, supply chain partners, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in AI infrastructure, GPU server deployments, HPC environments, or data center infrastructure integration. You should be comfortable reviewing technical deployment plans, identifying delivery risks, and driving issue resolution without necessarily performing low-level GPU cluster tuning or hands-on infrastructure commissioning yourself.

Based in Singapore, you will spend approximately 50% of your working time traveling to or working onsite at customer locations in North America. The remaining time will primarily be spent in Singapore, with occasional travel to other APAC locations as required.

Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Project Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AI infrastructure, GPU cluster, server deployment, and data center infrastructure projects across North America.

  • Develop project plans, define milestones, track progress, and manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate deployment activities across engineering, procurement, logistics, supply chain, and external service providers to ensure timely and successful project completion.

  • Drive project execution from planning and site readiness through deployment, testing, acceptance, and final handover.

2. Customer Engagement & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary project interface for North American customers, coordinating project requirements, technical discussions, progress updates, and delivery expectations.

  • Manage customer communications and stakeholder expectations, proactively addressing delivery risks, escalations, and project changes.

  • Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for infrastructure expansion, additional deployments, and follow-on projects.

  • Work closely with sales and business development teams to support customer engagements and project planning.

3. Technical Planning & Solution Review
  • Review and validate infrastructure deployment plans to ensure technical feasibility, compliance with project requirements, and alignment with applicable NVIDIA reference architectures and customer specifications.

  • Review rack layout designs, including rack configuration, power distribution, thermal considerations, load capacity, and serviceability requirements.

  • Review network topology designs covering compute, storage, management, and out-of-band management networks.

  • Review point-to-point (P2P) cabling plans, port mapping, fiber and copper connections, and AOC/MPO connectivity, including CUID-level documentation where applicable.

  • Identify technical and implementation risks, coordinate design clarifications with engineering teams, and ensure that approved designs are properly translated into onsite deployment activities.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Issue Resolution
  • Coordinate internal engineering teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and onsite service teams to align resources, schedules, and delivery priorities.

  • Resolve project execution issues involving equipment availability, shipment delays, site readiness, installation schedules, technical dependencies, and vendor coordination.

  • Establish clear action plans, owners, and deadlines for critical issues, ensuring timely escalation and closure.

  • Monitor project readiness and proactively develop contingency plans to minimize delivery disruption.

5. Quality Assurance, Testing & Acceptance
  • Oversee deployment progress, installation quality, testing activities, and customer acceptance processes.

  • Review technical documentation, test results, commissioning records, and delivery reports to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and applicable industry standards.

  • Track defects, non-conformities, and outstanding issues through resolution and formal closure.

  • Ensure complete project documentation, handover records, and lessons learned are captured for future deployments.

6. Pre-Sales & Project Cost Support
  • Support pre-sales activities by clarifying technical requirements, reviewing deployment approaches, and providing project execution input.

  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams on project costing, resource planning, delivery estimates, and quotation preparation.

  • Contribute to project reviews, delivery process improvements, and standardized deployment methodologies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

  • At least 3 years of experience in technical project management, infrastructure deployment, or technical delivery within AI infrastructure, data centers, HPC, GPU computing, or enterprise server environments.

  • Solid understanding of GPU servers, high-performance computing infrastructure, high-speed networking, and data center deployment workflows.

  • Ability to independently develop or technically review rack layouts, network topology designs, and P2P cabling plans, and to identify implementation risks and delivery gaps.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex technical projects involving multiple teams, vendors, schedules, and customer stakeholders.

  • Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and project execution skills, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.

  • Professional English proficiency, with the ability to lead project meetings, communicate technical requirements, and manage customer relationships independently.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to North America frequently, including extended onsite assignments, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 50%.

  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and multicultural environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering large-scale GPU clusters, AI computing infrastructure, HPC systems, or data center infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with NVIDIA-based AI infrastructure architectures, including relevant rack integration, high-speed networking, and deployment standards.

  • Previous experience supporting major enterprise, hyperscale, cloud, colocation, or system integration customers.

  • Experience delivering projects in North America or working with international customers and distributed engineering teams.

  • PMP certification or other recognized project management qualifications.

  • Experience supporting technical pre-sales, project estimation, delivery planning, and customer acceptance.

What We Offer
  • The opportunity to lead large-scale AI infrastructure and data center deployment projects for international customers.

  • Exposure to advanced GPU computing infrastructure and complex, cross-border technical delivery environments.

  • A regional role based in Singapore with significant international project exposure.

  • Opportunities to collaborate with experienced engineering teams and contribute to the delivery of next-generation AI infrastructure.

Important: This position is a technical project management and delivery leadership role. It focuses on project execution, technical design review, coordination, and quality assurance rather than hands-on GPU cluster optimization or low-level system tuning.
