Job summary

HackerTrail is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead agile delivery for backend data initiatives and drive data platform delivery across development, testing and production environments.

The role requires coordinating Domain Owners, Architects, Engineers, QA and DevOps while promoting DataOps, MLOps and best practices. You will report progress to executives and steer governance and cloud cost optimisations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Platform, DataOps, Analytics or Technical Delivery.
• 3+ years as Technical Project Manager, Delivery Lead or Scrum Master.
• Experience delivering AWS based platforms.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, CI/CD, observability and cloud delivery.
• Exposure to Agile, DevOps, DataOps and MLOps.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Technical Project Manager (Backend - Data) Agile Delivery Lead sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Maintain backlog quality, prioritisation and estimation.
• Manage phased delivery across DEV, SIT and PROD.
• Track velocity, throughput, SLA adherence and pipeline health.
• Technical Coordination Coordinate Domain Owners, Architects, Engineers, QA and DevOps.
• Support release readiness, integration testing and deployment.
• Manage dependencies across ingestion, migration and ML initiatives.
• Stakeholder Management Provide delivery reporting and executive updates.
• Align engineering execution with business priorities.
• Communicate risks, trade-offs and delivery status clearly.
• Continuous Improvement Promote Agile, DataOps and MLOps best practices.
• Support RCA activities and operational improvements.
• Drive governance, documentation and cloud cost optimisation.
