Job summary

WSH Experts Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking Technical Executives to support the School of Engineering's PET and CET programmes. You will provide laboratory setup and in-class technical support for practical sessions and assessments, and assist lecturers with demonstrations.

You will also manage lab readiness, equipment maintenance, part of imaging and software updates, and coordinate with external vendors. A proactive approach to stock, documentation, and training is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing, calibrating, operating and maintaining specialised equipment for aerospace applications.
• Licence to operate and maintain unmanned aircraft up to 25 kg for UAV operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory setup and in-class technical support for PET and CET modules.

• Set up exhibits and maintain laboratory readiness and cleanliness.
• Tabulate and submit the laboratory utilisation report each semester.
• Identify equipment needing maintenance and coordinate service with external vendors.
• Source vendors, obtain quotations and prepare procurement specs.
• Prepare and stock laboratory equipment and software before each semester.
• Ensure lab computers have updated software and perform post-image validation.

Job description

Technical Executives (TEs) supporting the School of Engineering (SOE) provide technical support for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes, including the following responsibilities:

• a)Module and Instructional support (PET & CET):Provide laboratory setup and in-class technical support for SOE’s PET and CET modules, practical sessions, and assessments. Assist lecturers with demonstrations of experiments and equipment, conduct trial runs for practical classes.
• b)Exhibits & laboratory readiness: Set up exhibits and laboratory equipment as required and maintain lab cleanliness and housekeeping standards after each practical session.
• c)Utilisation reporting: Tabulate, compile, and submit the SOE laboratory utilisation report each semester, in the format required by Client .
• d)Equipment upkeep: Proactively identify equipment requiring maintenanceor repair; perform basic troubleshooting; raise service requests; liaise with external vendors for repair or servicing, tracking work orders to closure and updating records; assist in sourcing vendors, seeking quotations, and preparing procurement specifications; and coordinate deliveries to ensure goods and consumables are received in good order.
• e)Pre-semester preparation: Familiarise, prepare and set up laboratory equipment, required software, and student laboratory kits before the start of each semester; conduct stocktaking of existing kits, carryout maintenance, and liaise with external vendors to purchase and replace faulty components/parts to ensure laboratory kit completeness.
• f)Software & imaging: Ensure laboratory computers are updated to NP-stipulated versions, including operating systems, drivers, and application software; perform standard imaging or cloning to the approved build; and complete post-image validation checks before use.
• g)Documentation: Maintain accurate records covering utilisation, inventory, maintenance and repair history, softwareversions/builds, and vendor service reports, as required by Client.
• h)Training and equipment management: TEs supporting So Emust be receptive to training and are expected to take on the maintenance, operation, and supervision of the use of laboratory equipment.

Requirement :

• Experience in preparing, calibrating, operating, andmaintaining specialised equipment for aerospace, applications, including avionics, UAVs
• Relevant skillset and license to operate and maintain Unmanned aircraft (up to 25 kg) for TE supporting UAV operations
