Job summary

St Engineering seeks a Systems Technical Manager in Singapore to lead the design, planning and delivery of IT/OT solutions across on-premise and cloud/hybrid environments. You will coordinate between system architects, pre-sales, vendors and customers to ensure performance, security and maintainability of complex projects.

You will drive deliverables, mentor engineers, and manage schedules while communicating progress in customer meetings and reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IT system infrastructure solutions.
• Experience with server/virtualization, cloud or hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of security, monitoring and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Hands-on in Windows and Linux in virtualized setups.
• Experience with vendor engagement and project leadership.

Job description

Position Title: Systems Technical Manager

• Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
• Work with system architect and pre-sales team to implement IT/OT systems and network infrastructure solutions in on-premise, cloud/GCC or hybrid environments and be able to articulate and document the solution
• Work, liaise and lead inter-disciplinary technical team and stakeholders to design, implement and verify solutions to meet project requirements for performance, availability, resilience, security, manageability, maintainability and compliance.
• Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities of technical engineers in a project to ensure all are actively working toward established milestones and ensure work is completed on time.
• Attend customer meetings, report regularly on progress and monitor project schedule.
• Liaise with customers/consultants/project managers concerning approval of designs, reviews, progress of work, problem solving, etc.
• Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
• Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis
• Collaborate withrespective key vendors/partners to design and review the proposed solution architecture in accordance with standards and policies.
• Resolve any technical difficulties and other problems that may arise in the project

Requirements

• Strong understanding and good knowledge in IT system infrastructure solutions.
• Conversant in multiple system products and solutions including server, database, storage, virtualization / cloud infrastructure, backup solutions, automation etc.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in
• Windows Server OS, Linux OS in a virtual environment
• Virtualisation and Hypervisors including Nutanix
• VPN, firewall appliances
• Load balancers, network switches/routers
• Network Monitoring (e.g. Solarwinds products)
• Vulnerability Assessment (e.g. Nessus)
• Identify and Access Management (e.g. CyberArk)
• Certification in any of the above products are advantageous. Example: Dell EMC Certified Professional, Microsoft Certification, Redhat, VMWare, HCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Professional (GCP), Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), Redhat Ansible, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP
• Experience in large scale system integration environment preferred.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer interface skills, and engage with partners, stakeholders and team members.
• Self-driven and motivated individual with keen attention to detail
• Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
