Job summary

CPG FACILITIES MANAGEMENT PTE LTD is seeking a Fire Safety Manager to oversee on-site planning, inspections, and maintenance of fire safety systems. You will ensure compliance with Fire Safety Plans, manage defects, and respond to emergencies with on-site support.

The role requires hands-on experience in fire safety management, strong inspection and reporting skills, and the ability to coordinate with contractors and authorities to keep all safety systems operational.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day planning and operations of facilities management works and services.
• Carry out inspection services and manage defects tracking.
• Respond to critical events within defined on-site timeframes.
• Provide engineering and technical advice on maintenance, upgrades, and urgent works.
• Review contractor proposals for second opinions.
• Ensure Fire Safety Plan compliance as Fire Safety Manager.
• Inspect and maintain firefighting equipment; ensure equipment is available and correctly placed.
• Ensure fire safety systems (hose reels, hydrants, extinguishers) are operational.
• Prepare annual Fire Reports per authority requirements.
• Prepare and conduct fire emergency evacuation plans and procedures.
• Be on-site and provide support during emergencies when on duty.
• Ensure fire-related systems and installations are regularly serviced.
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

1. Station on-site to oversee day-to-day planning, management and operations of facilities management works and services.

2. Carry out inspection services.

3. Inspect, update, manage, and track all defects.

4. Arrive on-site within response time for works of critical events and events threatening safety and security factors.

5. Render engineering and technical services advice and recommendation based on site assessment regarding breakdown maintenance, system upgrading, improvement, replacement, and urgent works.

6. Review contractor proposal for second opinion.

7. As a Fire Safety Manager (FSM),you shall ensure at all times that the fire safety requirements contained in the Fire Safety Plan of the HTDs are complied with.

8. Check, inspect and manage the maintenance of firefighting equipment, ensure the firefighting equipment are not displaced and removed unnecessary, and provide advice on firefighting related matters.

9. Ensure that all fire safety systems, such as hose reel system, hydrants, extinguishers, etc., are well maintained and are operationally ready at all times.

10. Formulate and submit the yearly Fire Reports according to prevailing authority requirements.

11. Prepare and conduct fire emergency evacuation plans and procedures according to prevailing authority requirements and as may be instructed by the Fire Safety Department.

12. Be physically present on-site and readily available and provide competent professional support during emergencies when you are on duty.

13. Ensure the systems such as service fire extinguishers, public address system, fire alarm system and other fire safety equipment and installations are carried out regularly.

14. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by your supervisor.
