Job summary

RecruitPedia Pte Ltd is seeking a Technical Engineer to join a leading civil and infrastructure project team in Singapore. The role focuses on managing engineering design activities, coordinating among BIM, architectural, structural, and MEP teams, and ensuring on-time and compliant delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 5+ years in design management including D&B experience, and strong familiarity with URA, BCA, LTA, and PUB submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board.
• Minimum 5 years in design management, including 3+ years in Design & Build projects with main contractor or consultancy.
• Experience coordinating civil/structural design for construction projects.
• Familiar with statutory submission processes with URA, BCA, LTA, PUB.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering design activities across the project lifecycle to meet specifications and contract requirements.
• Review design drawings, submissions, and shop drawings prior to implementation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors and internal teams for approvals and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and BIM teams to ensure design integration and constructability.
• Oversee submission and approval processes with authorities and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and monitor technical documentation, design progress reports, and stakeholder presentations.
• Identify design risks and mitigations to minimize project impact.
• Distribute latest approved drawings and docs for on-site implementation.
• Support tender activities with technical proposals and design submissions.
• Attend design reviews, coordination meetings, project meetings and site meetings.

Job description

Our client is a well-established construction and engineering company specializing in large-scale civil and infrastructure projects. Due to business expansion, they are looking for a Technical Engineer to join their team. They are located in the North– easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all engineering design activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.

• Review design drawings, technical submissions, shop drawings, and engineering documents prior to implementation.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and internal project teams to obtain design approvals and resolve technical issues.

• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and BIM teams to ensure design integration, constructability, and timely project delivery.

• Oversee submission and approval processes with relevant authorities, including regulatory clearances and statutory requirements.

• Prepare, review, and monitor technical documentation, design progress reports, and presentation materials for project stakeholders.

• Identify design risks, technical discrepancies, and potential project impacts, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

• Ensure the latest approved drawings and engineering documents are distributed and implemented on-site.

• Support tender activities by preparing technical proposals, engineering documentation, and design-related submissions for bidding.

• Attend design reviews, technical coordination meetings, project meetings, and site meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in design management, including at least 3 years in Design & Build (D&B) projects with a main contractor or engineering consultancy.

• Experience in civil and structural engineering design coordination for construction projects.

• Familiar with statutory submission and approval procedures involving authorities such as URA, BCA, LTA, and PUB.

• Knowledge of BIM coordination, engineering documentation, and technical design management.
