Job summary

United Overseas Bank is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead complex initiatives across lines of business in a banking environment. You will manage planning, vendor relationships, budgets, communications and risks from start to finish, ensuring delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, exceptional written and verbal communication, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in IT.
• Proven IT project management experience in banking/treasury.
• PMP or PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• Murex knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage project and change engagement from planning to risks and issues.
• Liaise with external vendors, manage communications, budget and resources.
• Set frequency/content of status reports, analyze results and troubleshoot.
• Deliver executive level communication.
• Provide status reporting on milestones, dependencies, risks and issues.
• Oversee a portfolio of complex initiatives across business lines.
• Full project lifecycle ownership to ensure delivery.
• Ensure projects align with strategic objectives.
• Prepare detailed project plans for all phases.
• Ensure adequate resources to achieve objectives on time.
• Lead day-to-day project activities and PM team meetings.
• Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
• Manage scope and changes.
• Act as internal quality control and resolve quality issues.
• Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues and risks.
• Ensure projects proceed per scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.

Stakeholderand Communications Management

• Manage all aspects of project and change request engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
• Continually manage project and change request expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and change request team, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas
• Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
• Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership and business stakeholders

Processand Delivery Execution

• Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
• Full project life cycle ownership to ensure successful project delivery
• Manage all aspects of the projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
• Prepare detailed project plan for all phases of the project
• Ensure assignment of adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
• Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings
• Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
• Manage project scope and changes
• Act as an internal quality control check for the project
• Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
• Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables

JobRequirement

• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• Proven working experience in IT project management in a banking environment and in treasury products related.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
• Murex knowledge is a plus
