Job summary

Section in Singapore is seeking a Technical Delivery Lead to steer engineering delivery across projects, from architectural planning to release and handover. You will stay hands-on where it matters and coach the team to build scalable delivery practices.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional partners in Singapore and Vietnam, manage risks, drive CI/CD, telemetry, and secure development, and communicate delivery health to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of relevant software engineering experience with hands-on leadership.
• Experience delivering production systems and leading distributed teams in multi-country settings.
• Comfort with tradeoffs across customer impact, effort, risk, quality, and cost.
• Expertise in cloud production environments, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.

Job description

We’re hiring a Technical Delivery Lead to join Section in Singapore.

In this role, you will lead engineering delivery for assigned projects—from turning an agreed outcome into a realistic technical plan, through execution, release, and operational handover.

You will work with colleagues across Singapore and Vietnam, partnering with project managers, product owners, designers, QA, engineers, and technical specialists. You will report to the Technical Delivery Director, with technology strategy and architecture assurance from the CTO.

This is not a role for someone who only reviews from the sidelines. You will remain hands‑on where it matters: resolving difficult problems, reviewing critical implementation, guiding technical decisions, and unblocking the team. At the same time, you will coach engineers, delegate meaningful ownership, and build delivery practices that do not depend on one person.

You will be responsible for:

• Turning approved scope and architecture into executable engineering plans, estimates, dependencies, and realistic commitments
• Tracking engineering effort and forecast-to-complete, identifying delivery or budget variance early
• Managing technical risks, scope changes, dependencies, and recovery plans
• Leading quality through code review, automated testing, secure development, performance, and accessibility validation
• Establishing practical CI/CD, release, rollback, monitoring, runbook, and operational-handover practices
• Communicating delivery health clearly to project managers, clients, and technical leadership
• Strengthening team capability through coaching, delegation, automation, AI tools, and reusable components
• Supporting qualified presales and RFP work with credible estimates, assumptions, and risks

We are looking for someone with at least seven years of relevant software-engineering experience, including hands‑on technical leadership and delivery of production systems. You should be comfortable making trade‑offs across customer impact, effort, risk, quality, and cost—and confident enough to challenge unrealistic commitments constructively.

Experience with cloud production environments, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, incident response, APIs, integrations, and modern frontend or backend stacks will be important. Experience leading distributed teams across Singapore and Vietnam is highly valued.
