Job summary

Helius Technologies in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Consultant to design, develop, integrate, and test banking technology solutions across error handling, AI Ops and feature flag management.

You will translate requirements into working code, configurations and integrations while supporting delivery through deployment and post‑go‑live support, collaborating with Lead Consultants and business users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related discipline.
• 6–9 years in software development, system integration or technical consulting.
• Hands-on backend skills: Java, Python or Node.js with REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and containerisation.
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and Kafka; familiarity with monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder‑communication abilities.
• Ability to deliver quality work within demanding timelines.

Technical Consultant - Backend, AI Ops & Automation

Location: Changi, Singapore

About the Role

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Technical Consultant to design, develop, integrate and test banking technology solutions across error handling, AI Ops and feature flag management .

Working closely with Lead Consultants, you will translate requirements into working code, configurations and integrations, supporting delivery through deployment and post‑go‑live support.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development

• Analyse requirements and prepare functional designs, configuration documents and technical specifications.
• Develop and optimise solutions for error handling, AI Ops or feature flag management.
• Integrate APIs, backend services, databases, Kafka and monitoring platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable and well‑documented code.
• Implement capabilities such as anomaly detection, automated recovery workflows and code analysis.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Conduct functional and integration testing and support UAT.
• Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Investigate defects and performance issues across application layers.
• Validate solution behaviour in test and production environments.
• Document test cases, execution results and lessons learned.

Deployment & Support

• Lead or support deployments, cutover planning, data validation and defect resolution.
• Provide post‑go‑live support and hypercare.
• Monitor performance and proactively address operational issues.
• Prepare runbooks and operational documentation.

Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer

• Work with business users, project managers and technical teams throughout delivery.
• Prepare system demonstrations, training materials and end‑user training.
• Share technical knowledge and contribute to reusable components and delivery improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related discipline.
• 6-9 years of relevant experience in software development, system integration or technical consulting.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in at least one of the following: Backend development: Java, Python or Node.js, REST APIs and microservices. AI/ML: Machine learning frameworks, model deployment, monitoring and alerting. DevOps/automation: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and automated testing.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP and containerisation technologies.
• Proficiency in databases, including SQL/NoSQL , messaging systems such as Kafka , and integration patterns.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder‑collaboration skills.
• Ability to deliver quality work within demanding timelines.

Added Advantage

• Banking or financial‑services application experience.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or ELK .
• Knowledge of AI/ML platforms and tools.
• Experience with LaunchDarkly, Split.io or other feature flag platforms .
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
