Job summary

Avensys is hiring a Technical Architect to lead enterprise data migration strategy, architecture, and governance. You will design scalable migration solutions, define data integration patterns, and create runbooks for cutover activities across multiple technologies.

We seek 8+ years in data management or large-scale migrations, strong SQL and data modelling skills, and hands-on ETL experience (Azure Data Factory, Informatica, SSIS, Talend, Databricks).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Engineering, or large-scale data migrations.
• Strong SQL, database administration, and data modelling knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or Databricks.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Azure SQL.
• Knowledge of data governance, MDM, data warehousing, and migration activities including profiling, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• TOGAF and/or CDMP certifications preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Migration Strategy & Architecture

• Define enterprise data migration architecture and roadmap.

• Define data quality rules and validation frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
• Review migration design documents and technical deliverables.
• Conduct architecture reviews and technical quality assurance.
• Support performance tuning and optimization activities

Stakeholder Management

• Engage business, functional, and technical stakeholders.
• Present architecture recommendations to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with project managers and solution architects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Data Management, Data Engineering, or large-scale data migration projects.
• Strong SQL, database administration, and data modelling knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or Databricks.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Azure SQL.
• Knowledge of data governance, MDM, data warehousing, and migration activities including profiling, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• TOGAF and/or CDMP certification is preferred.
