The Role

As Team Manager, Sales, you will partner with the Director, Higher Education to translate divisional strategy into practical sales plans that support growth across Indonesia and Singapore. You will coach, develop, and enable sales talent, while creating a team culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and strong customer outcomes.

From day one, you will help shape territory execution, strengthen sales processes, and support field-based coaching that improves team performance. In your first 6 months, your impact will come from building clear development plans, improving adoption of sales tools and practices, and helping the team execute against revenue and market share goals.

This is a highly visible opportunity to influence go-to-market strategy, represent customer and market insights with senior stakeholders, and build relationships across sales, marketing, product, operations, customer success, finance, and HR.

What You'll Own
  • Lead, coach, and develop sales talent through hiring, onboarding, training, one-on-ones, performance conversations, and field-based coaching.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance sales culture that supports collaboration, resilience, problem solving, and strong execution.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans for allocated territories, with a focus on revenue growth, market share, new business acquisition, renewals, and account coverage.
  • Strengthen sales practices by reinforcing Pearson sales methodology, presentation skills, communication quality, and solution selling capability.
  • Champion effective use of OneCRM and other sales processes to improve activity tracking, pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and performance management.
  • Manage a field-based territory of local university campuses, developing relationships with faculty, channel partners, distributors, academics, and key decision-makers.
  • Contribute to go-to-market planning, budgeting, forecasting, product and market development, and regional initiatives including digital strategy execution.
  • Share market trends, policy insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
About You

You bring regional sales experience in the education industry and a proven ability to lead cross-cultural teams. You are a commercially minded people leader who can balance coaching, execution, stakeholder influence, and customer focus in a fast-moving regional environment.

  • Strong sales experience across Southeast Asia, preferably within Higher Education, education, EdTech, or a related solutions-led industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and developing a cross-cultural sales team.
  • Ability to build strategic territory plans, manage sales performance, and make data-informed decisions against KPIs and revenue targets.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization, relationship-building, and solution selling skills.
  • Comfort with regional travel and field-based customer engagement.
  • A tertiary qualification is preferred.
What You'll Get
  • The opportunity to lead and develop a regional sales team that directly contributes to growth in the Higher Education tertiary market.
  • A role with strong visibility across commercial strategy, market development, customer engagement, and regional execution.
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, product, operations, customer success, finance, and HR.
  • The chance to shape team capability, improve sales practices, and influence how Pearson supports educators and learners across Indonesia and Singapore.
  • A dynamic regional environment where your market insights, leadership, and customer relationships can make a measurable impact.
