Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, ATA, or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience in tax, finance, or audit, regional or multi-market environment.

Job description

The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing tax compliance, reporting, risk management, and advisory matters across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in tax processes across various Maisons and markets. Combining technical tax expertise with strong cross-functional collaboration, this role supports operational compliance, identifies tax optimization opportunities, and drives continuous improvement in tax processes, controls, and systems.

Job responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Manage all direct and indirect tax compliance activities, including corporate income tax, GST / VAT, withholding tax, and other local tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, in collaboration with internal accounting team, outsourced accounting providers and external professional advisors (including Big Four accounting firms and legal counsel)
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns, filings, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Oversee tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and tax-related disclosures for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting
  • Review tax accounting entries, reconciliations, and reporting schedules to ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Ensure accuracy of transfer pricing policies and maintain related documentation

Tax Advisory & Planning

  • Perform data analysis to support tax planning and business decision-making
  • Provide tax advisory on operational, commercial, and cross-border transactions (e.g., store openings, restructurings, intercompany arrangements)
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and group tax policies across all markets
  • Establish and maintain effective tax controls, processes, and documentation standards
  • Identify tax risks and optimization opportunities, with recommendations aligned to business and compliance requirements
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess business impact

Audit & Tax Governance

  • Manage tax audits, authority reviews, and queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Maintain robust tax governance and documentation to support audits and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with various teams to ensure tax reporting is accurately embedded within financial and operational processes

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain alignment with ERP systems and other finance systems to ensure reliable tax data management
  • Drive continuous improvement in tax processes, controls, and systems, including digital transformation initiatives
  • Lead or support tax-related projects, including process automation, system enhancements, and business transformation initiatives
  • Partner with Finance teams to embed tax reporting requirements into end-to-end finance processes

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key tax point of contact for Finance, Legal, M&A, and business teams across Maisons
  • Communicate tax implications, risks, and recommendations clearly to support informed decision-making
  • Report key tax matters, risks, and updates to the Head of Finance & Accounting
  • Promote strong collaboration, accountability, and best practices across stakeholders

Other Responsibilities

  • Support projects such as buybacks, liquidations, legal entity setups, and other ad hoc assignments as required
Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, ATA, or equivalent preferred
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience in tax, finance, or audit, preferably within a regional or multi-market environment
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax, GST / VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and tax compliance requirements
  • Good understanding of IFRS / GAAP tax accounting and reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex tax matters
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions in the region, as well as with LVMH Group
  • Experience working with ERP systems, tax reporting tools, and finance systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-entity / multi-market environment
