Job summary

QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Storage & Backup Engineer to manage enterprise storage, backup and object storage platforms. You will ensure platform reliability, data protection, service availability and operational efficiency within a managed infrastructure.

You will administer HPE Alletra storage, Cloudian Object Storage and Veeam/Kasten solutions, perform provisioning and capacity planning, monitor performance and support upgrades across customer environments.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant storage and backup administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise storage and backup platforms.
• Experience in an enterprise or managed services environment.

Responsibilities

• Storage Administration: Administer HPE Alletra storage platforms, provisioning, LUN mapping, capacity management; monitor utilisation.
• Backup & Object Storage: Administer Cloudian Object Storage, manage buckets/users/policies, perform upgrades, support backups and recovery with Veeam/Kasten.
• Infrastructure Operations: Configure ToR switch connectivity, troubleshoot storage/network issues; manage incidents, changes and service requests.
• Platform Maintenance: Conduct health checks, patching, maintain documentation and procedures.

Storage & Backup Engineer to support the administration, maintenance and operations of enterprise storage, backup and object storage platforms.

Platform reliability, data protection, service availability and operational efficiency within a managed infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Storage Administration

Administer and support HPE Alletra storage platforms.

Perform storage provisioning, LUN creation, mapping and capacity management.

Monitor storage utilisation and performance.

Support storage maintenance and upgrade activities.

Backup & Object Storage

Administer Cloudian Object Storage environments.

Manage buckets, users, policies and platform upgrades.

Support backup and recovery operations using Veeam Kasten .

Validate backup integrity and recovery procedures.

Infrastructure Operations

Configure and maintain HPE ToR switch connectivity supporting storage environments.

Troubleshoot storage and network connectivity issues.

Manage incidents, changes, service requests and root cause analysis.

Platform Maintenance

Conduct proactive health checks and monitoring.

Support patching and maintenance activities.

Maintain operational documentation and procedures.
