PERFORMANCE ROTORS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a robotics-focused engineer to lead UAV integration efforts, combining sensors, payloads, software and firmware into cohesive drone platforms.
You will test on-site under varied conditions, prototype quickly, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client requirements, with travel as needed.
a) Support the integration of sensors, software, firmware, and hardware components into UAV platforms, ensuring all subsystems interact reliably within the broader system architecture.
b) Evaluate and integrate new sensors, payloads, and client-specific subsystems, working under the direction of senior technical staff to ensure seamless system compatibility.
c) Be hands-on and on-site, conducting thorough system testing and in-depth field trials to validate system performance across operational conditions.
d) Execute rapid prototyping efforts to produce functional proof-of-concept systems that validate new integrations or client-specific payload requirements.
e) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the successful delivery of assigned projects, contributing to timelines and milestone tracking as directed.
f) Assist in diagnosing and resolving field issues encountered during development, trials, and client deployments, escalating complex challenges to senior technical staff as appropriate.
g) Able to travel overseas for job necessities, as required.
Any other duties or undertakings as may be assigned by the Company as and when deemed necessary.
Bachelor of Engineering in Robotics or relevant fields.
Built and designed an entire drone on your own.
3 years of relevant experience working on projects with constrained resources.
Experience working with serial communication protocols.
Experience working with open source autopilots.
Required to be on-site/outdoors in non-ideal weather conditions for testing purposes.
Singaporean only.
Experience with turning prototypes into products.
Experience with alternative component sourcing for the same platform.
Experience with firmware changes with C++.
