Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the complete planning, direction and coordination of all assembly processes for a specific project, ensuring costs, quality and delivery targets are met with the program team.

The role includes designing production layouts, specifying assembly tools, participating in PQP risk reviews, and leading in solving assembly issues while driving efficiency, safety and sustainability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly.
• Lean Six Sigma Green certification preferred.
• Strategic, creative and systemic thinking.
• Excellent leadership and communication with all levels of associates and management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate end-to-end manufacturing processes for system integration.
• Define requirements for assembly tools and equipment to support product realization and build plan.
• Lead in resolving technical problems and quality complaints.
• Monitor assembly capacity and ramp to fulfill build plan delivery.
• Support continuous improvement programs and participate in PQP to manage risks.

3+ years of experience in engineering

Education

Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics/ Electrical/Precision/Industrial)

Lean Six Sigma Green certified
