Job summary

VSTECS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a System Engineer to maintain and enhance our network infrastructure from Lavender Central Region. This full-time role focuses on ensuring smooth operation of servers, routers, and switches, plus providing end-user support and proactive system improvements.

The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years in a similar role, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or within a team to advance technology across the organisation.

About the role

As a System Engineer at VSTECS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD., you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the company’s technological infrastructure. This full-time position, based in Lavender Central Region, will involve overseeing the smooth operation of our network systems and providing technical support to ensure the business runs efficiently.

What you’ll be doing

1. Monitoring and maintaining the company's network systems, including servers, routers, and switches
2. Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise in a timely manner
3. Implementing and configuring new hardware and software solutions to support the business
4. Providing technical support and guidance to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilise the company's technology
5. Collaborating with the IT team to develop and implement strategies for system improvements and upgrades
6. Documenting and maintaining detailed records of all system changes and configurations
7. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to identify potential areas for enhancement

What we’re looking for

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar system engineering role, preferably within the Information & Communication Technology industry
2. Strong understanding of network protocols, server management, and troubleshooting techniques
3. Proficient in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various hardware and software systems
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues
5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills
6. Familiarity with industry best practices and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements
