Job summary

Marina Bay Sands in Singapore is seeking a software developer with strong .NET background to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications. You will work on web applications using VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET and modern front-end tech, collaborating with users to gather requirements and deliver robust solutions.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of development experience, familiarity with MS SQL Server and REST-based APIs, and a solid understanding of design patterns.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma in related field preferred.
• Experience: 3 years development experience and strong fundamentals in requirements specification, design, coding and testing.
• Other prerequisites: Proficient in .Net technologies including VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, CSS3, Ajax, Entity Framework, DevExpress, XPO.
• Familiar with software design patterns and building responsive web applications.
• Proficient in MS SQL Server and REST-based APIs (JSON, OData, Web API) and web services.

• Assist with timely, accurate business designs to implement new/modified applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure that application and/or infrastructure projects are managed and administered in line with prescribed corporate standards and procedures and are delivered to the agreed scope, time scales and costs.
• Assist with the provision of timely, accurate and effective business designs to implement new and modified applications.
• Collaborate with users to identify requirements and resolve problems and to maintain efficiency and productivity of the department’s applications and operating systems.
• Provide analytical support, reviewing identified problem areas and/or changes in business requirements, and proposing changes to systems and business processes to ensure effectiveness.
• Monitor and recommend changes to improve the reliability, scalability, extensibility, security and performance of existing software systems.
• Provide technical training where necessary in collaboration with IT, including being conversant with the present and future systems, its impact on overall business and how the present and future systems can be exploited for the benefit of the department.
• Effectively communicate with end users and resolve problems.
• Provide timely progress reports on projects.
• Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to Departmental and Company policies.
