Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a System Administrator 1 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. The role supports enterprise technology applications and security services across federal, local, and commercial customers. You will build, maintain, and secure Windows and Linux servers, both on-site and in cloud environments.

The position requires 0+ years of progressive experience with strong fundamentals in AD, patching, networking, and access control. Travel up to 25% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Requires system administrator experience including triage, problem resolution and workstation deployment.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience programming/administrating Physical Access Control Systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage small teams and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Windows patching, vulnerability remediation, and AD hierarchy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production systems, software, hardware and end devices.
• Install, configure, maintain and support Windows and Linux servers (physical and cloud).
• Ensure security, integrity and availability of systems.
• Monitor operations and respond to errors or alerts.
• Troubleshoot access control, intrusion, video and other security systems; document processes.
