Job summary

Bank of China Limited Singapore Branch is seeking a System Administrator to manage servers and storage, configure Windows and Linux OS, and ensure security patches are applied. You will also handle Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and automation scripts to streamline routine tasks.

The role requires DB exposure (MySQL/MS SQL) and strong communication skills to collaborate with IT teams across the bank. Singapore-based office with on-site responsibilities and ongoing maintenance duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiar with PowerShell, Linux Shell, HTML, XML language.
• Understanding of database architecture and experience with MySQL and MS SQL.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Job description

• Maintain physical hardware components, including servers and storages.
• Install, configure, and maintain server OS (Windows and Linux), including physical and virtual machine
• Perform regular system updates and security patches.

System Management:

• Active Directory infrastructure and Organizational Unit structure.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine tasks
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operation systems.
• Familiar with PowerShell, Linux Shell, HTML, XML language.
• Understanding of database architecture and experience using databases (e.g. Mysql, MsSql)
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
