OM Materials (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Sustainability Specialist to drive ESG disclosures and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate data collection, validation, and external assurance for sustainability reporting and assist with the Group’s annual report and ESG disclosures.
You will work with internal stakeholders on governance, risk, and materiality, while supporting supplier ESG due diligence, emissions accounting, and committee coordination.
OM Materials (S) Pte Ltd ("OMS")., based in Singapore, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of OM Holdings Limited, that handles the logistics, procurement, marketing, and distribution activities of the Group.
With a long history of marketing ores and ferroalloys, OMS possesses an extensive trade network and an edge in connecting raw materials with buyers and users. Originally established in the 90s focusing on the raw materials trade in China, its scope and range of action have since evolved to a global scale, albeit retaining an Asian focus.
Collectively, OMS leverages the economies of scale of the Group’s operations to streamline raw material procurement and product sales. This is made possible by comprehensive product knowledge and a strong operational expertise in international trade execution.
Support the Group’s sustainability reporting and ensure disclosures comply with applicable regulatory requirements and recognised sustainability reporting standards;
Monitor developments in Bursa Malaysia, ISSB/IFRS Sustainability Standards, GRI and other relevant sustainability reporting requirements, and assess their impact on the Group;
Coordinate the collection, consolidation, validation and maintenance of sustainability data and supporting documentation for reporting and external assurance;
Support the preparation and review of the Group’s Sustainability Statement, Annual Report and other ESG disclosures;
Work with internal stakeholders on sustainability-related compliance, governance, risk management and materiality assessment;
Support supply chain ESG due diligence, including supplier ESG questionnaires, assessments and emerging requirements such as CBAM;
Coordinate with internal and external auditors/assurance providers on sustainability reporting and verification exercises;
Support GHG emissions accounting and reporting, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions, in accordance with the GHG Protocol;
Act as Secretariat to the Sustainability Management Committee (SMC), including coordinating meetings, papers, minutes and follow-up actions;
Keep abreast of emerging ESG requirements and provide updates and recommendations to management;
Support ESG-related stakeholder queries and other sustainability projects as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline;
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in sustainability reporting, ESG, compliance, audit/assurance, risk management or a related field;
Good understanding of sustainability reporting standards and regulatory requirements, particularly ISSB/IFRS and GRI;
Knowledge of GHG Protocol and carbon accounting is preferred;
Strong analytical, data management and attention-to-detail skills;
Resourceful, proactive and well-organised;
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders across the Group;
Effective written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese to liaise with counterparts.
