Job summary

CapitaLand, headquarted in Singapore, is seeking a motivated student for a Sustainability Data Intern role. You will gather and analyse sustainability data from properties worldwide and support data onboarding to UL 360 and Greenview Portal.

You will work with global teams to ensure timely data submissions, maintain data quality, and help develop dashboards that provide real-time insights into energy, waste and carbon metrics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, Business, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, cleaning and analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Python or R is a plus.
• Experience with data platforms such as UL 360 and Greenview Portal, or the ability to quickly learn new software tools, is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and consistency.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present findings clearly.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, while working effectively as part of a global team.
• Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (GRI, SDGs) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Reporting: Assist in gathering, organising and analysing sustainability data from properties around the world, focusing on energy, waste and carbon emissions.
• Liaising with Global Properties: Work closely with operational teams to ensure timely submission of sustainability data and provide guidance.
• Data Accuracy & Quality Assurance: Perform data quality checks to verify accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Onboarding New Properties to UL 360 & Greenview Portal: Guide properties through setup and troubleshoot issues.
• Liaising with Parent Company: Coordinate to ensure reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Data Entry & Updates: Ensure data is entered into tracking systems on time.
• Develop & Maintain Reporting Tools: Create dashboards and reports for real-time insights.
• Reporting Support: Prepare periodic sustainability reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Communication: Serve as a point of contact for property teams on platforms.
• Sustainability Best Practices: Research trends and suggest improvements globally.
• Ad-hoc Project Support: Assist with various sustainability initiatives as required.
