Job summary

SAYBOLT (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a field inspector to perform offshore and onshore inspections of shore tanks and vessels, ensuring quantity, quality and proper labeling in accordance with international standards.

The role requires outdoor work on land and sea, long hours, strong English, and physical fitness. You will coordinate with the office and uphold company guidelines while maintaining safety and accuracy in every inspection task.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors on land and at sea.
• Willing to work long hours and stretches of days.
• Speak and write good English and perform mathematical calculations.
• Able to withstand heights and enclosed spaces.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience.
• Be physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Cleanliness inspections of shore tanks, ships tanks or other vessels.
• Determine quantity and quality by bulk, temperature, metering, draft survey or other methods.
• Per shipment inspection and sampling per international standards.
• Labeling and storage of sampled goods.
• Maintain regular communication with the office about field activity.
• Ensure compliance with office requirements and company guidelines.
• Abide by site or vessel rules and procedures.

Job Description:

1. Cleanliness Inspections of various shore tanks, ships tanks or any other form of object used for the transportation of minerals oils, chemicals and petrochemicals.
2. Determination of quantity and quality of above mentioned goods by measuring physical bulk, temperature, metering, draft survey or any other means and in combination needed to ascertain said quantity.
3. Per Shipment Inspection
4. Sampling of the above goods as per international or other standards and putting correct labelling and storage.
5. The nature of work is demand orientated and often outside normal working hours, therefore a high degree of flexibility is required.
6. Communicate with the office regularly to update on field activity in progress.
7. Ensure compliance to all requirements as outlined by the office.
8. To abide by the company rules, procedures and guidelines or those in force upon whichever site or vessel the inspector is working.
