MCI CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Instrument Technical Assistant to support Sterilisation Services (CSSD/TSSU).

The role involves receiving, sorting, decontaminating, inspecting, packing, sterilizing and distributing surgical items across operating rooms. You will operate washer-disinfectors, dryers, ultrasonic cleaners and sterilizers, and monitor sterilizer test indicators to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• ITE in Engineering or WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Sterilisation Services) is required.
• Experience as Instrument Technical Assistant or CSSD/TSSU is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, decontaminate, inspect, pack, sterilize, store and distribute surgical items.
• Operate washer-disinfectors, dryers, ultrasonic washers and sterilizers; perform and evaluate sterilizer test indicators.
• Manage inventory of sterile linen and surgical consumables; issue sterile supplies to all ORs.
• Maintain cleanliness of TSSU storage and Decom areas daily.
• Ensure proper use, care, and reporting of defective equipment; flag instruments needing repair/replacement to the in-charge.
• Support smooth daily operations of the TSSU, including handover of essential information and critical events to colleagues.

• 2 rotating shift:

  • Morning shift: starts 8am, ends between 4pm 6pm

  • Afternoon shift: starts between 11am 1pm, ends between 7pm 9pm

Job Responsibilities

• Operate washer-disinfectors, dryers, ultrasonic washers and sterilizers; perform and evaluate sterilizer test indicators

• Manage inventory of sterile linen and surgical consumables; issue sterile supplies to all ORs

Requirements:

• ITE in Engineering, relevant technical credentials, or WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Sterilisation Services)

• Working experience as Instrument Technical Assistant or relevant experience in CSSD/TSSU preferable
