Job summary

TRIFECTA in Singapore is seeking a passionate surf instructor to join an energetic team. You will lead classes for riders of multiple skill levels in ski simulator and freestyle areas, ensuring a safe, engaging experience while helping customers select rental gear.

You will maintain equipment, handle inventory, check in guests, and promote a fun, team-driven environment. Weekend work and a strong work ethic are expected.

Qualifications

• Serious rider with strong surfing or related sports background such as flowriding, wakesurfing or skimboarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead classes at various skill levels for ski simulators and freestyle areas.
• Conduct daily sessions ensuring safety and engaging experiences for participants.
• Assist customers with rental equipment fitting and recommendations.
• Manage rental gear, perform maintenance and inventory control.
• Check-in guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate and inspect machines and equipment to meet safety standards.

Job description

We are looking for a passionate team of riders to share the magic of surfing at TRIFECTA. As a surf instructor, you'll be part of an O.G. crew introducing a community of riders to the world of ocean surfing. Expand your world of riding, inspire others, and be part of a motley crew of riders that’s bringing the waves to Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Lead classes at various skill levels in both ski simulator and freestyle areas
• Conduct daily classes, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for participants
• Assist customers with rental equipment fitting and recommendations
• Manage rental equipment, including maintenance and inventory control
• Check-in guests and provide excellent customer service
• Operate and perform regular checks on machines and equipment to maintain safety standards

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Serious rider with a strong background in surfing and/or similar sports such as flowriding, wakesurfing, and skimboarding.
• Comfortable performing intermediate maneuvers such as carves, snaps, and ollies.
• Technically sound, with potential for further experience and training.
• Some prior experience as an instructor, delivering lessons to students.

Work Arrangement & Remuneration

• Full Time and Part Time basis
• CPF contributions
• Flexible monthly schedule, with min. 15 hours of shifts a week

Requirements

• 18 years & above
• Fluent in English
• Fluency in Mandarin is a plus
• Be willing to work on weekends
• Possess integrity, honesty, time management and superb work ethic
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Understand that everyone starts out new in their riding journey - there is no room for discrimination here!
• Good knowledge of surf equipment such as type of boards and fins
