Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Supply Chain Materials Management Intern to collaborate with experienced professionals on inventory optimization, demand monitoring, and risk mitigation for semiconductor manufacturing. You will gain exposure to real-time decision-making and data-driven problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in SCM/IE/Analytics and availability for 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, Logistics, Engineering or related field; must be in good academic standing.
• Available to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support inventory planning and material availability tracking to ensure uninterrupted supply for manufacturing requirements.
• Analyze forecast vs actual material consumption and help identify root causes for shortages, excess, or supply variance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Central Planning, Buyer Work Center, Sourcing & Procurement, and other stakeholders to resolve supply concerns.
• Prepare supply reports, exception monitoring updates, and risk assessment materials to support continuity and optimization.
