Job summary

Hunt Talent Partners partners with a well-established Japanese Medical Devices manufacturer to hire a Supply Chain Manager in Singapore. You will report to the Regional Operations Manager and oversee demand & supply planning and supplier management across Asia, coordinating with sales offices, distributors, and HQ.

The role requires 5–10 years in SCM, ERP proficiency (SAP/Oracle), and strong cross-cultural communication.

Qualifications

We are partnering with a well-established Japanese Medical Devices manufacturer with over 60 years of track record and a strong regional presence across Asia. The company is highly regarded for their high-quality standards and comprehensive portfolio spanning consumables and capital equipment. As part of their ongoing business expansion in Asia, they are creating a new Supply Chain Manager headcount within their Singapore regional office to strengthen the supply chain function across the region.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager and managing 1 direct report, you will take ownership of two core areas in demand & supply planning and supplier management across the Asia region. On the planning side, you will collaborate with local sales offices, distributors, and direct customers to develop accurate demand forecasts, translate these into purchase and supply plans in close coordination with HQ and factories, and monitor inventory levels to optimise stock, prevent shortages, and minimise obsolescence and write-offs

On the supplier management side, you will onboard and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts and SLAs, conduct supplier audits and quarterly business reviews, monitor performance through scorecards, and drive corrective action plans where needed. You will also serve as the key escalation point for supply disruptions and provide regular reporting on supply risks and supplier performance to senior management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is someone with 5 – 10 years of experience in Supply Chain management, with hands-on exposure to both demand/supply planning and supplier management. Prior experience within the Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Life Sciences sector will be a strong advantage given the regulatory and quality considerations involved.

You will need to be proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), analytically strong, and comfortable working across cross-functional and cross-cultural stakeholder environments spanning HQ, factories, and regional sales offices. Strong communication, contract negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential.
