We are currently supporting a leading global consumer appliance company on a Supplier Quality Engineer opportunity based in Singapore.
This is a hands‑on role focused on supplier quality, manufacturing capability and continuous improvement, working closely with OEM/ODM suppliers across key components and finished products. The role will have strong exposure to R&D, Engineering and Operations, with a focus on driving sustainable supplier performance and independence.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own and drive supplier quality performance across key components and Finished Goods.
- Ensure suppliers meet required product, process and regulatory standards.
- Assess supplier capability through gap analysis, identify risks and implement improvement plans.
- Monitor supplier performance using data and statistics, including FPY, QA, PSI and CTX, to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and follow up on SCARs and corrective actions, ensuring timely and effective closure.
- Partner with R&D, Engineering and Operations during product development to ensure supplier readiness and product quality.
- Contribute quality inputs to quality agreements, project plans, sourcing decisions and quality targets.
- Drive quality awareness and continuous improvement across both internal teams and external suppliers.
- Support supplier qualification and changes to the Approved Supplier List.
What they’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
- 4–6+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Product Quality or Process Engineering.
- Experience within domestic appliances, small domestic appliances or related component manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality methodologies including FMEA, SPC, APQP, MSA, Control Plans, QFD, CTQ and Lean.
- Strong supplier auditing experience; Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently drive supplier quality issues to resolution.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with R&D, Engineering, Operations and suppliers.
- Proactive, hands‑on and results‑driven, with a strong ownership mindset and sense of urgency.
