Job summary

RTX in Singapore is seeking an onsite Manufacturing Technician Lead to drive daily operations and supervise a dedicated team. You will coordinate tasks to meet production specs, schedules, and quality targets while upholding safety and environmental standards.

The role requires experience in manufacturing engineering and leadership, with bi-monthly rotating shifts. You will lead workflow planning, coach technicians, and push for continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and output.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree with at least 2 years relevant experience in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering.
  • At least 1 year in supervisory/leadership role in a Precision Engineering environment.
  • Must be able to work bi-monthly rotating shifts.
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with STEM focus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of a team of Manufacturing Technicians to meet production specifications, schedules, costs, wastage targets, and quality standards; uphold CORE and EH&S initiatives.
  • Lead and supervise manufacturing technicians in cell to meet product quality and delivery expectations.
  • Manage cell’s daily output targets, operational efficiency, and productivity.
  • Determine overdue and current load position, plan 3–6 month demand trend for daily part scheduling and material release.
  • Ensure operator TPM compliance for optimum machine uptime.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and evaluate workflow; identify and implement improvements for efficiency.
  • Coach and develop technicians’ skills, set job expectations, and manage performance.
  • Provide analysis and presentation to Leadership when called upon.

What You Will Do
  • Coordinate the day‑to‑day activities of a team of Manufacturing Technicians to ensure that manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards. Responsible for CORE and EH&S initiatives.
  • Lead and supervise manufacturing technicians in cell to meet product quality and customers’ delivery expectation.
  • Responsible for managing cell’s daily output targets, operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Determine overdue and current load position including looking 3 to 6 months ahead of demand trend to establish daily part scheduling and material release strategy
  • Ensure operator TPM compliance for optimum machine uptime.
  • Lead and facilitate within the assigned area including planning, developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing operational issues.
  • Responsible for manufacturing technicians’ discipline, attendance, safety and quality issues.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and evaluate workflow.
  • Recognize and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiencies.
  • Coach and develop manufacturing technicians’ skills, establish job expectations and manage work performance.
  • Provide analysis and presentation to Leadership when call upon.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Diploma or Degree with at least 2 years relevant experience in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Minimum years of experience in role:
  • At least 1 years in supervisory/leadership role in a Precision Engineering environment; and
  • Must be able to work bi-monthly rotating shifts.
  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling,prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
