Job summary

LUMINA DECOR PTE. LTD. on site in Singapore seeks a capable Carpentry Supervisor to oversee daily carpentry activities, assign tasks, and monitor productivity. You will read drawings, ensure works meet quality standards, and coordinate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires interpreting construction drawings, supervising installation of timber components, and maintaining workplace safety and organization on site.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Carpentry, Construction, or a related field.
• Several years of carpentry and construction experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings and take accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily carpentry activities on site.
• Assign tasks to carpenters and monitor workforce productivity.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and measurements.
• Ensure carpentry works are completed according to approved drawings and quality standards.
• Inspect workmanship and identify defects or areas requiring rectification.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Monitor materials, tools, and equipment required for carpentry works.
• Ensure proper installation of doors, frames, cabinets, furniture, partitions, ceilings, and other timber works as required.
• Monitor work progress and provide regular updates to the site management team.
• Ensure compliance with site safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
• Resolve day-to-day site issues and provide technical guidance to carpentry workers.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and work areas are kept safe and organized.
