Job summary

RENU ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled carpentry supervisor to manage on-site carpentry works in Singapore. You will ensure works follow approved drawings and specifications, measure dimensions, and supervise formwork, doors, frames, partitions, and ceilings.

You will coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, monitor manpower, check material quality, and enforce safety and housekeeping on site. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in carpentry supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years work experience in carpentry and site supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise carpentry works at the construction site according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Check and measure length, width, height, thickness, levels and dimensions of carpentry works.
• Inspect formwork, wooden structures, doors, frames, partitions, ceilings and other carpentry works.
• Verify that materials are of the required size, type, quantity and quality.
• Check formwork alignment, level, plumb, dimensions and stability before concrete pouring.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, site engineers, foremen and other subcontractors.
• Monitor manpower and assign daily work activities to carpenters.
• Ensure work is completed according to the approved drawings, method statements and specifications.
• Carry out site measurements for completed work and prepare measurement records.
• Inspect completed work and identify defects, dimensional errors and workmanship problems.
• Arrange correction/rework when the work does not meet the required standards.
• Monitor daily progress and report work status to the site engineer/project manager.
• Check material usage and minimize wastage.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment.
• Coordinate inspection requests with the QA/QC or client inspection team.
• Maintain inspection records, measurement sheets and daily progress reports.
• Ensure workers follow site safety requirements, PPE requirements and housekeeping procedures.
• Coordinate with other trades to avoid clashes and delays.
• Verify quantities of completed carpentry work for subcontractor/client measurement and billing.
• Ensure final carpentry works are completed according to project requirements and accepted by the responsible inspector/engineer.
