RAFFLES EMPLOYMENT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our on-site team. You will schedule, assign and oversee carpentry projects in a factory setting, read blueprints and ensure materials and tools are ready for each job.

The role requires at least 2 years related experience, ability to work long hours, possibly night shifts and weekends, and proficiency with joinery and cabinet making. You will supervise craftsmen to maintain safety and quality across projects.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years related experience.
• Experience in reading blueprints, drawings and sketches.
• Able to work long hours including night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Joinery and cabinet making skills.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule and plan work of carpentry personnel performing various carpentry projects.

• Construct and repair cabinetry and furniture as needed.

Job Description

Schedules, assigns and plans the work of carpentry factory personnel performing a variety of carpentry projects. Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of carpentry expenditures and procedures for equipment maintenance. Supervises carpenters to ensure safety and quality in the performance of assigned tasks. Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed. Constructs custom cabinetry and furniture as needed; repairs or modifies furniture as needed. Conform to an established work schedule. Reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years related experience
• Good interpersonal communication and problem solving skills
• Good management of materials cost and stock inventory
• Experience of using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws and nail guns
• Joinery and cabinet making skills
• Able to work for long hours period or night shift
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays
