Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a social work professional to provide holistic support to ITE students-at-risk. You will work with students, families, and community partners to help them complete studies and access resources.

Responsibilities include engaging with students, conducting case assessments, visiting homes, referring to stakeholders, coordinating with agencies, documenting cases, and delivering psycho-social programmes to foster resilience.

Qualifications

• Credentials in a relevant discipline (e.g. social work) are advantageous.
• At least 2 years of direct clinical work / casework in the social service sector with youth and families.
• Good knowledge of Singapore's social services landscape.
• Passion and disposition for working with youth and their families.
• Cultural sensitivity, collaborative and open to diverse views.
• Emotional stability, resourcefulness and resilience.
• Proficient in office applications/software.

Responsibilities

• Engaging and connecting with students and their challenges.
• Providing case assessment and goals/outcome of the work with students and their families.
• Visiting students’ homes or other relevant locations for assessment/support.
• Referring students and families to relevant stakeholders to render necessary support.
• Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to provide holistic care and support to students.
• Documenting, tracking, monitoring and reporting of students’ cases.
• Re-integrating or transition support for students.
• Implementing psycho-social-educational programmes.
