Job summary

Commonwealth Secondary School is seeking a Student Manager to oversee student orderliness and support teachers during school hours. The role involves patrolling the campus, managing conduct during recess and lunch, and tracking late-coming data with appropriate software.

The candidate will act as a contact point for parents on management matters, assist the Student Management Committee with investigations, and help with detention, restorative practices, and data entry during holidays and term

Qualifications

• Full GCE O-Level or N-Level certificate, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Three years of experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to work constructively with students, show initiative and collaborate as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the school compound and nearby vicinity before, during and after school hours to maintain student orderliness.
• Maintain discipline during recess and lunch breaks, support teachers with classroom management and provide interim student supervision when necessary.
• Manage late-coming, attire and hair checks; analyse and track late-coming data using appropriate software.
• Act as a contact point for parents on student-management matters when required.
• Assist the Student Management Committee with preliminary investigations.
• Manage detention and suspension from class, and follow up with students who do not comply.
• Help students resolve conflicts through restorative practices.
• Enter student-management data and assist with administrative duties during school holidays and term breaks.
• Support school safety, including directing traffic, and carry out other duties assigned by School Leaders, HODs Year Heads the Administration Manager.
