Job summary

SELF HELP GROUPS STUDENT CARE LIMITED is seeking a caring Student Care Officer to join islandwide school-based centres in Singapore. You will supervise children, assist with homework, and deliver engaging activities in a safe, nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate has O level or higher, strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience and empathy, and the ability to work well with families. Working hours are 11am–7pm on school terms, with 8-hour shifts 7.30am–7pm during holidays.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Student Care Officer. We have islandwide locations available and the selected individual shall be based in a school-based student care centre. The individual is required to deliver high-quality care and supervision to children in our after-school student care programme.

What you\'ll be doing

1. Supervising and engaging children in a range of activities, including homework assistance, recreational play, and educational projects
2. Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
3. Communicating effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates and address any concerns
4. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the children\'s attendance, progress, and any incidents
5. Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities
6. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we\'re looking for

1. O level and above
2. Experience working with children in a student care or educational setting will be advantageous
